Hey I like this gun are you looking to sell yours.
Hi what you think this or ANI F150 spray gun is better?
I need your advice , I have a small paint shop, I have to buy a gun for basecoat and clear , 2k, which it would be advisable ANI F150 / PLUS / S HPS , FLG5 Devilbiss , Iwata W -400 , fluid tip ; 1.3 or 1.4 mm ?
Thank you
Any of the above will be a good choice
I’ve been watching your videos and think I need to upgrade to a decent gun. It seems the FLG4 doesn’t get quite as good a rap as the FLG5, however comes with the extra two tips. Which would you recommend for a single-gun setup? Compressor is a mid size (300LPM/10.5CFM) belt drive.
If you are still in WA, where is the best place to get the devilbiss gear locally?
Hey Gunman, on your review of this gun I went out and bought a SGK-600PR HLVP for primer. It has the same Transtech aircap as the BV but in 2.0mm. I was wondering if you had a chance to review the PR model?? Looking forward to seeing how it lays down the thicker primers and I am hoping it will compliment my GTi Pro base/clear gun (looking to get a Pro Lite as a clear-only gun soon)…. Also, I will be soon spraying my sons Series 2A Land Rover which has external aluminium rivets and aluminium panels – how would you go about spraying this without rubbing through the primer/base/clear on the exposed rivets??
What is your opinion about the retouching gun devilbiss sgk 600 rt?
I just wanted to thank you once more for this amazing site you have made here. It truly is full of useful tips for those who are really interested in this subject, specifically this very post. You’re really all really sweet as well as thoughtful of others in addition to the fact that reading your site posts is a good delight to me. And what a generous surprise! Ben and I will have excitement making use of your ideas in what we should instead do next week. Our listing is a mile long and tips will definitely be put to very good use.
You have a 510 cap on the flg5 is this special? When I search for flg5 I notice the air caps just state flg-5. Difference?
The SGK600 is a great gun. I used it in the past but left it with my brother overseas.
Been using the FLG4 and indeed its inferior in fan width and pattern to the SGK600 (or FLG5).
Looking in retrieving my old one…
cheers
Jules
I often visit your page and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More
frequent updates will give your page higher rank & authority in google.
I know that writing articles takes a lot of time, but you can always help yourself with

a few seconds.
Where can I purchase a FLG5? I am on Gold Coast but will pay freight. I am back yarder trying to do a perfect spray job on a classic E type jag. (love your stuff)
Hi gunman, really like to know if you used 1.3 on the flg5
Cheers, keep up the good work
FLG5 was a great gun till it started leaking air. Getting parts here was challenging. Local agent in punchbowl unhelpful. Got seals from UK in end. Very expensive. Seals really difficult to install correctly and fragile with no clear instructions how the seals face. Saying use the tool is unhelpful. Gun still leaks …. last devilbiss gun. Whilst it gave good results for the 20 or so panels it lasted the maintenance is just not worth it. Back to Star guns.
