Firstly love the channel content! … I’ve got one of these FD Civics which I’m planning on changing from Silver to Nardo Grey using a gun and in an enclosed carport outside. The original paint is ok, but the clear is gone on it, so have sanded down to 400 on those areas and 600 everywhere else inside and out. This is the first time painting a car, so I’m green as, so if I can bother you with a few questions… Primer wise – should I use a 1 or 2k and should it be etched? base coat 1 or 2k? Laqueur, acrylic or urethane? I’ve been told if I use a 2k base acrylic that a clear coat won’t be necessary? But if applying a clear would 1 or 2k be preferred? Cheers
