disappointed with this cap, i own az3 1.5,1.8 for DIY and mostly wood finishing… if i could i would change all spray guns that i own for gpi pro 1.4,1,6,1.8

Love the flg5 but I’m using the same gun for primer and base so it’s a bit of a hassle swapping over the needle etc each time….so would love a second gun. Love your work. Fellow Ozzie. You’re a Champion.

Great Review. Perhaps you could do a review on the air gunsa az3 hvlp. I use it to shoot featherfill with 2.0 needle. Not impressed so far.

Gunman, was excited to see your review as I’ve recently purchased an AZ3 HTE-2 1.8 for spraying primarily wood finishes. I chose it over the Impact as the air cap looked to be made from a better quality material. The orange impact air cap looked anodised = aluminium, I could be wrong ? The stainless fluid internals sold it to me over the flg5 as I was using water based paint but as you highlight, the spray pattern looks inferior to the FLG. Like you say, I am one of those home sprayers who has limited knowledge of what a good gun is, but looking on the positive, it was such a revelation after my Dev. JGA
to be spraying at a much lower pressure with minimal overspray and far less tiring being gravity fed as I’m working flat. Managed to achieve a decent finish thankfully even though the air cap like yours, collects paint on the horns one side more than the other ! Thanks for the vids, I’ve learnt loads.

Quick question and comment. First, thanks for the lead to Steel Camel. The water was always a problem, not now. Their service, suggestions, product and even a follow up call were awesome.
Second, do you ever shoot fiberglass? I’m trying to shoot jet skis and boats, would like to see how you shoot; maybe a corvette? I’m super amateur, learning by watching. Product, tech and style vids you make help a lot. Trying to watch only the best so I learn the right technique. Spray on!
