I have to say I have been painting for a little over a year now and your videos have been so helpful. I think it depends on what you’re planning on using the gun for. If it’s for Primer I think even Gunny would agree to just go for the FLG5. (As per the Top 5 Primer Guns review). However, if you’re referring to the ANI R160-Q Mini gun, I don’ think its suitable for primer use. (0.5mm,1.0mm and 1.2mm). If its the ANI F160 Plus/Silver Full sized gun with loads of tip sizes (1.1mm-2.5mm) you’re talking about then pick the ANI over the FLG5 if you’re planning on swapping tip sizes and just want to use the same gun.
FLG5 – fewer tip sizes (1.3,1.4 & 1.8), easy to use, low air/paint consumption & better build quality.
R160-Q Mini – Spot repairs & generally for painting smaller workpieces. (Still a great gun)
F160 Plus/Silver – Many tip size, higher air consumption compared to FLG5, cheaper so you might use it much more cause they’re less precious.
Can’t go wrong with either one to be honest and you might just end up buying both of them 😀 Gunny has done a review on all of them so you can see which looks like it’s best suited for ya. Personally FLG5 for life <3

Already tried to reach the Indonesia representative for Carlisle (Devilbiss) but the phone numbers are offline and they didn’t answer my email. Tried to reach the Singapore branch, and they confirmed that the numbers and email that I call are correct and does belong to the Indoesian Branch.
Tried to find any affordable ANi, Iwata, Sagola, DURR but zero result. Especially ANi and DURR, seems like they doesn’t exist here.
Most of the gun being sold here are those random brand under 10AUD gun, Auarita, tons of Knockoff Devilbiss GTI and GFG that cost like 150AUD, knockoff Meiji, and Knockoff Sagola.
I found a shop(literally the only one) that listed FLG5 for sale but it’s around AUD370. Decided to stretch my budget to get me out of this whole situation, but even then they said that it’s out of stock and they’re not going to restock it.
Today I asked carlisleft AU if they do ship to Indonesia, but yaa finger crossed. If they don’t then maybe my only option is one of those Star gun.
Or if I’m lucky enough I might be able go get this awesome Iwata Bellaria Woodii.

People help me out. I don’t spray cars but do spray industrial stuff, piping, panels, machinery etc. Looking at Gunman reviews for weeks now. and I see two guns that are in the price range. Let me know your thoughts without all the details. Just need a gun that will help me, excellent fan etc. Anest Iwata baleria 1.3 or DeVilbiss FLG5. Sure I can go to 500 plus USD but 250 is my cap.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either one of them. If you’re looking for something on a budget DeVilbiss FLG5 all the way, you save enough to probably get an ANI R160-Q Mini for your tighter spots or smaller panels since you’re spraying not only cars. So you can use the FLG5 for your bigger parts then swap over to your mini gun for tighter & hard to reach machinery.
In all honesty, everyone wants a more expensive better looking gun but you really only need guns you can appreciate and use everyday without a hiccup.
If you already want to spend the cash value in Bellaria terms then:
1 Gun – Amazing Anest Iwata Bellaria (Does the job superbly well and looks amazing).
2 Guns – Also amazing DeVilbiss FLG5 & ANI R160-Q Mini gun (Does the job incredibly well and also serves as a extra for small tight spots). + some extra cash for supplies
I’d go with the two guns + supplies. One day when I’m have some extra cash and want to try some new guns I’ll pop that Bellaria in and spray it everyday 🙂

I really need a new gun to finnish my 3 stage candy paintjob on my project car. That chepo gun i have today will not make it due the big fluid tip.

after watching your top 10 guns I bought one of these Bellarias and the first time I used it I was amazed at the massive improvement it made in my painting. I laid the base coat and the clear coat with the same gun and could not believe the finish I got. I have been using the Iwata HS2 for the base coat and clear coat for 2 years now and will continue with the 1.3 for base. That is unless i win this little baby then ill have a Bellaria for all occasions 🙂

Hey Gunman, I’m over here in Oregon and watch a lot of your videos. I think you do beautiful work, and really appreciate how you try to put all your knowledge up for people to see and learn. So cheers bro, for what you do. I am a master carpenter by trade, and now try to teach any one whatever it is they’d like to know about carpentry, framing, woodworking, etc. I got into mechanics as a hobby first, then progressed into wanting to learn paint and body. Which, as like any trade. Takes hands on job training to get better and better and hopefully one day master. I recently bought some new spray guns. One was the gti pro lite, and cheers again for the recommendation. I really like it, and run the cup system on it. It’s my color gun. The other one, which I think you need to check out. Is the devillbiss Neptune, its my clear gun. Magnesium body, smoother curves to it and feels great in your hand. But it’s also made in Japan. Dunno, check it out and see what you think.
