S.M.A.R.T. Stands for Small Medium Advanced Repair Technology. Made possible with Infra Red curing light technology we are able to carry out a repair that in the past would have taken a few days but in this case it took 5 hours.
Watch the video below and learn from a pro, I will teach you How to Repair and paint a car from start to finish using all the tricks of the trade to save money by not making the repair any bigger than it needs to be, I will be including every step in an easy to understand language and “real world” methods.
I’ve been watching a few of your videos over the last few weeks and I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of content and detail in all the areas that you cover. Not being a spray painter,I have been watching and taking notes as I would like to repair and respray my own vehicle shortly. I would like to ask a question though. My car is a faded red and I would like to bring it up to speed with a different paint colour, Mazda soul metallic red (painting a bumper video). Can I buzz the panels with 180 grit, then prime then paint? What are your thoughts please. Regards Steve
Yes, that’s how I’d do it, do your repairs and finish with 180 or 240 then 3-4 coats of 2k primer depending 4 on filler repairs & 2’3 on the rest, if the only damage is from the sun then save the time of priming and just go 400-500 and paint over that.
Well done on your Vidz and NO! B.S approach.
I would love to see you do a custom car show including owners ……
That’s a good idea
Hello Gunman:
Very interesting little video.I learn a lot from your comments and footage.
Is it ok to ask questions as I have a motorcycle project coming up.
Thanks Colin.
Can you recommend a good palm sander for home D.I.Y car restoration that wont break the bank. Same for Spray guns that I can do a 2K resto respray using a quality gun. Don’t really have the funds for the GTI but something you think would do a good job as it will not be used proffessionally.

Learning much from your videos. Repairing my Corvette from a damaged fender. Doing a second go on paint after messing up on the first try (before seeing your videos). I think second go will be much better. Thanks for taking the time to help.
Body filler work is very different in our country. I am resign my admin co job and join in Nippon Toyota and learn painting. Now i am start a local body painting shop in India. But budget problem my gun is ola devilbliss advanced HD. I am using same gun for paint and clear.
I like the new welding but i think you have more control with drilling holes and using a pull hook. I have the stud welder and the machine you just used i have not used the spot puller machine yet. But i do not like the stud gun a breaking of those pins. because they always leave nipples.
