Standox Automotive Paint is a top quality and easy to use fully inclusive paint system with very powerful colour tools making it ideal for a high workflow panel shop environment. With Solvent “Basislack”, Environmentally friendly water based “Stando Blue” and the powerful Standox VOC Topcoat to chose from this is a great system. In this video I will give you an indepth review and demonstration, including how to mix & match using the Spectrophotometer “Genius” colour tool, also take you through the colour charts, clears, primers & ancillary products. Then we will go in the Spray Booth for a spray demo and paint a Saab 93 in Ice Blue Metallic Paint Code 304, using the Solvent based Basislack and 599 as a blending aid then followed by Duxone 2k Clear. Duxone is an Axalta product same as Standox so a full warranty applies but the cost is lower, this highlights that there are some ways to keep the cost of this top quality system down without risk of poor quality finishes.
