Follow me on a short tour of an average Panel Shop in Thailand, conditions are much different than you are used to in my usual videos and you may also be surprised at the kind of cars you will see here, a lot of classic cars from all over the world, I found what looks like an AMC Cobra, a classic old Volkswagen 1600, an old Datsun ute, a MG-B soft top, and even a nice looking big bike with airbrushing all over it.
I had a bit of fun looking around this shop even though I wasn’t made to feel very welcome, I just got the footage so I could share with you guys so hope you all enjoy.
Hi Gunny,
Loving the Thailand videos especially seeing all those old cars from yesteryear. Quick question, no one on u-tube seems to do videos on how to spot repair in direct single stage gloss, so, is the technique the same as for clear over base. I’ve tried a few times with limited success. Cheers

So basically yes similar process but people probably don’t do it because clear is so much easier and will stay hidden for a lot longer, even if I had a 2k job I needed to blend I’d use a bit of clear just over the blend area, there are great products like Cromax AK350 fade out thinner that will help and have found that for the blend you go full paint then where that ends use 25% clear with 75% fade out mixed together, and at the very edge just fade out thinner with whatever clear is left in the gun after emptying it so like 5% clear.
Did you see this one?

Thanks for the tips mate. Yes I’ve watched your previous smart repair vids and enjoyed them all especially the little red car, I’ve watched it like ten times, if has to be my favourite. Look forward to some new stuff from you soon. Take if easy.

Thanks again Barry, I still remember making that video, I had a massive day and smashed that repair out in no time then couldn’t wait to get home so I could make the video on it ๐
