The ANI R150 1.0mm Mini Spray Gun is a great little gun and extremely efficient, ideal for small surfaces like motorbike parts, wheels, engine bays, spot repairs and much more. I find that having a 1.0mm fluid tip it is still enough fluid output to do full panels but with the small air cap it is very precise so less overspray results in saving paint, the gun can be used for clear coat, basecoat and 2k direct gloss colour but you would struggle to get any real build out of it for primer unless it was just a small cut through with a primer surfacer. Watch the video and see for yourself how it performs in a variety of applications.
Hey Gunman,
Looking to buy this mini gun through spraygunsdirect. I want to repaint small machines, using the concept industrial enamels. I need to be able to spray 1k etch primer, zinc phosphate primer and topcoat. Do you think this is the most suitable gun?If so, should I get the 1.0 or 1.2 nozzle?
Thanks!
I would imagine this gun would be ideal for what you are doing mate, being that it has a 1.0mm tip it’s precise but still puts out enough fluid.
hi I was looking at 60-Q , for my mgb roadster project long project , would this do all the work , have Parkinson’s go every thing is slow

How does this gun compare to say a Sri Pro?
I have this spray gun and several other Ani spray guns. IMO, they all rock! The SRI is a good gun. A bit dated since the RP/HTE/HPS technology became the new standard for nice, controlled, high efficiency spray equipment.
I’ve sprayed with other mini-guns, But this one…this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. My Iwata w-70 is the only one that can give it a run for its money. Got rid of all my other minis once PRP Shop sent me this one. You have to try jt to fully experience this gun’s superior characterisrics!!
Hi gunman, can you please tell me what for clear coat, and how much pressure you have used for the ANI R150-T mini in your rewiew on this gun.? Thanks
Hi Gunman, loving your reviews….
I was contemplating purchasing the ANI R150 spraygun, as I’ll be painting my two motorcycles (plastic fairings, metal tank, swing arms and rims & a Car bumper) …
Ideally don’t want to purchase multi guns, as I’ll only use them a few times per year, and would prefer a decent gun, with different head sizes, that will last and give a good finish for an amateur….
Is it possible to only purchasing One gun, or would you recommend a full size and a mini gun for my needs? …
You state the ANI R150 isn’t ideal for filler/primer, and ANI F150 not best for Clear …
Would I be better off with a Devilbiss GPi, or another brand?
Many thanks
Ian
I do have one of them. It’s A nice little gun. Spray well only one thing paint cup is a mistake. After a while top lid will become really hard to twist both ways. Had it already replaced under warranty. My one it’s 1.0 setup.
Hi
Like the review just starting out in alloy wheel refurb and was looking at getting a couple of these guns for solvent base coat and 2k lacquer but was told to get the 1.2 nozzle but I see you were using the 1.0 nozzle what size nozzle would you recommend just for doing wheels
Hi mate, I’d probably say to go with the 1.0
Hi Gunman Watch all your videos avid viewer and currently moved over to smart repair after 10 years in normal repairs. About to start working for a BMW Bodyshop doing smart repairs.
Was looking to grab some LPH80 and came across these but I am sure they are Fakes as the only black LPH80 say X10 Rapid Elite on them. Also could not find any pictures of the gun anywhere else or being sold anywhere else in the world. Maybe you could do a video saying they are or are not fake or use your keen eye.

Können Sie mir sagen wie viel Luft verbraucht die an r150?
Hi Gunman
I paint model cars 1/24 scale they average around 8inches long. Looking at the ANI150 so I can cover the model with paint better than my Airbrush. Would you recommend the 0.8mm or 1.0mm using mainly enamels and acrylics your thoughts please.
Love your Vids. Having spent many years painting stuff that didn’t matter to DIY’er on cars now where finish does matters, I took your advice and purchased a ANI F150 HPS Plus from Spray Painters Direct UK in 1.4mm. Nice piece of kit – purchased an extra 500ml pot,1.2 and 1.9 tip sets, Repair / cleaning kits and Regulator delivered in 4 working days via DHL for approx. AU$345. Fantastic value. If it doesn’t work first up, it will be me that needs to learn how to make it work.
Thanks….RickO Adelaide.
ps. I dumped all social media years ago, so this was the first place I could find to make a general comment.

i really appreciated, keep it up !
Gunman,
Do you know if there is a metal cup out there, even from another MFG, that will fit the ANI R150?
Hey Gunman,
I just purchased an ANI R150 to paint my motorcycle. I have this mini gun and a Airgunsa. Would you recommend using the ANI for all stages of the painting process including primer or should I get a different gun to primer it?
Hey Gunman,
will you get in the new ANI BLACK HPS ? Seems to be the topmodel from ANI and there is this H2 air heating system attached to the gun! Really lookin forward to see a review from you about this gun 🙂
P.s. Ive just got the ANI F150 HPS, you’re still happy with yours ?

Hi Gunman I’m wanting a gravity gun for 2k clear coat the ANI guns is in my budget range just after advice on gun model and tip size please, for spraying guitars, using 3hp 200 litre compressor. Thanks
Hey there,
Guessing from your review this would be grand for guitar bodys ect at 1mm?
Cheers,
Hey Gunman,
i want to Paint some bicycle frames. How much Air did the ANI F150 need with 1Bar Pressure and a 1,0 Tip?
I saw your Review and ist seems to be the Gun for the Value of Price, because I don’t need a high Build of Primer, Base Coat and Clear Coat.
The Mission is to keep the Price down, I looked for Compressor with a 50L Tank and a Air output of 230L/min, do You think it would be enough?
Cheers from Germany 🙂
Hi Gunman I want to use the gun to leather and ceramic coating. which nozzle i should buy ?

Thanks to you I put the following spraygun in my checkout box at spraygunsdirect uk. Can you tell me what parts I need to connect my air hose to the threaded part at the bottom of the gun? And is this the touch-up gun you like? Yup, I’m not a pro but I like it. Thanks for any tips. Donald.

Would this gun work for cerakote? Looking for something a little cheaper than the Iwata cerakote recommends.
That’s a wonderful piece of writing. Not as good as you, but I’m wearing it like this.
