Wow! Now that’s what I call a shine! Just a quick question about wet on wet primer, why is it called that and when and what is is used for.
Many thanks
Barry.
Thanks for that. I’ve just done a Honda civic, type R today, clear over base black, I’ve just to detailing tomorrow before the next job which is to paint an ex shell oil tanker truck, which brings me to my next question if that’s ok. The fuel tank itself is stainless steel under its yellow and white livery, AM I ok to 180 da and 2k prime before top coat? I’ve been told twitch prime it but I’m not taking it down to the metal. Bit of variety eh? My next jobs are paint bonnet and front panels on a mini bus then a side of a horse box. I certainly paint some shit!
180 should be ok but just to be sure I usually just give it a quick 240 but in saying that as long as the paint isn’t too thin then it should fill 180 especially if you are etch priming it
Hi Gunman
The tanker turned out ok, I was really happy with the cab but the large tank area had dry areas even if I tried to overlap more. Any ideas mate?

Its similar to normal primer but used just before painting and no sanding so its just paint straight over the primer
